Yeah they are but honestly in that match they were lucky to get a penalty in the last minute and get a draw. Anyway they have been doing well lately and showing an intent to fight unlike earlier which is a very good sign considering the level of opponents they are about to face in next couple of weeks. Newcastle haven't been in form so must be a good sign for Chelsea here but Newcastle still are a very tough opponents. Secondly they will be facing them on their turf so that makes it further harder. Still I feel Chelsea will show us a good fight but its hard to say if they will be able to win by the final whistle.. It could go either way.
If there was no penalty at the end maybe it would have been another defeat.
This is indeed interesting because Chelsea's journey against big teams is always impressive but the results are not satisfactory, for example when with Arsenal having to draw then after that lose to Brendford then win again with Spurs because Chelsea's advantage is that the opposing player is red carded 2 is still very reasonable to win at the end with many goals, after that with Manchester City held to a draw again then you can say it's pretty good this weekend.
Who would have thought maybe we wouldn't underestimate Chelsea their squad is now full and fine in contrast to Newcastle who are having problems with their front lines, but this playing at St James' Park the host cannot be underestimated, but I want to see the extent of Chelsea's current ability.
