@Helliumz in my personal opinion it felt like team India wasn’t interested in winning this match because they completely lacked the intent that Australia player’s showed and had they put in some more efforts then this would have been a real competitive match. Furthermore now I’m looking forward to the new team led by Pandya and Pant because these two can take a more aggressive approach and not surrender the match due to pressure.

They were very much interested in winning that final match, but Australia played well on their day. I still believed that with the form India was in, they should have won the World Cup, but unfortunately, they could not deliver on the biggest stage of World Cricket.
From the very start, after Rohit's dismissal, the Indian team looked under pressure. The Australian team had only one strategy; go hard or go home. They were putting pressure on every step of the way with their aggressive fielding and bowling. That partnership between Virat and Rahul was good, but they had not taken any chances and dried up the boundaries. This was the phase where Australia locked their victory.
