Do you ever feel like that being after saving or investing for future you forget to live in the present? You don't buy the things you want to or don't go after experiences you want because you'd rather save/invest for future instead.
I used to focus on long-term plans, having a rough understanding of what I need to save up for and what I want my life to look like. But then a full-scale war hit my country, and suddenly planning became irrelevant, impossible. So now I'm more of a "live in the present" kind of person, which is why if I want something and I can buy it, I usually buy it because I don't have an expectation of long-term stability of my life for the future. Imagining the future doesn't come easily to me anymore, and having a generic understanding of how the next few months will look like already seems long-term.
