Maybe one reason for Girona to have a good performance and be the first team of La Liga is because of the situation in Real Madrid and Barcelona, for cample in Real Madrid unfortunately their goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is still not in the good form to play for this team and Andriy Lunin played for Real Madrid in the last game they had.
Arrizabalaga had some time to get back in the good form but it seems this goalkeeper will be absent against Cadiz and Napoli in the two next games they are going to have.
I don’t think Girona is taking advantage of any situation at any club, they have been great this season and we need to applaud their performance and appreciate their efforts so far this season. If a club have issues with any player or can’t handle the players fitness then it is left for them because all teams are just looking for a way for themselves to survive and if another team doesn’t take care of themself well then it’s their loss. Girona have only lost a game this season which is against Real Madrid and if they continue this way they can actually surprise us all and win the league but the problem is can they be consistent till the end of the season? I also don’t think so but it’s not impossible.
It is true that Girona has performed well this season, but their current existence at the top of the La Liga standings cannot be separated from the inconsistency of Real Madrid and Barcelona, so indirectly Girona has benefited a little because of that.
If you look at Girona's overall performance so far it is quite impressive and they just need to maintain their consistency, in my opinion it is very difficult for a team to maintain its consistency until the end of the season.
And it's not impossible that Girona could make a surprise until the end of this season, I think that would be very interesting if that happened.
And they will benefit more from the instabilities of the both teams ongoing I will not be shocked if they continue winning against smaller groups and teams the only difficulties to be faced will be shown when they face the big boys in La liga. Real Madrid has seen important players injured and Barcelona also with Gavi, De Jong and Stegen injured.
They are so focused in winning La Liga, they will bring in support when the time for transfer begins. Just keep your minds open they may fall down or still go higher having Girona at the top a total underdog makes the other clubs to brace up and attack the league.
