The drama continues in the English Premier League after Everton's deduction of 10 points. Now, Tottenham is under scrutiny for the transfer of Jermain Defoe to Portsmouth in 2008 for around £7.5 million. They conducted the deal with a third-party without the proper FA license before the transfer took place. Recently, the FA stated they would review the case if there is new evidence indicating serious violations of principles. If found guilty, they could face a points deduction. After a convincing winning streak at the start of the season, Spurs have hit a rough patch with two recent defeats. And now, the looming threat of a points deduction hangs over them. If points are deducted, their chances in the title race seem bleak. Will we lose a contender for the championship?

Yeah FA has been confirming it.

When you have big money then use it like city. It has been breaching FFP many times and then no sanction. Money talk here and i will not even argue that. When you have money and you can do everything. Money is a tool to control everything.
No doubt that if the rich club will never be sanctioned by FA or EPL. Oil money be like : "STFU and take me to your pocket".

You have money and then you will be fine. Even some media said that how difficult to get proof to sue manchester city.
I think neither Manchester City nor any other rich club will escape sanctions if they violate FFP rules. In essence, the Sports Arbitration Agency (CAS) court will process all cases that come to their desk, but to get to the sanctions decision stage there are many stages that must be gone through. Even though we know that currently there are 115 cases alleged against the Man City, they are able to find ways to exploit existing legal loopholes, or appeal against previous decisions.

Regarding the violation of Jermain Defoe's transfer by Tottenham to Portsmouth, it has been reported that it has been stopped and now the FA will reopen it. In detail, we will never know for sure what happened behind the scenes, why the 2008 case was reopened, and what motivated the FA to do so.

In my opinion if this kind of confusion continues, the EPL will be considered unfair, their image will suffer because it seems like they are allowing clubs who have a lot of money to violate FFP rules. Meanwhile a club like Everton received direct sanctions so quickly, this will cause a stir among fellow EPL clubs.
