He has scored six goals in 10 matches so far. I'm talking about this season for Roma. Things do look good for him so far. And I think he will be able to get a lot more goals as the season progresses. We all know that he is a really good player while playing for any club in the Serie A. Maybe I think we cannot expect a very explosive performance from him yet. But if he actually performs really well, we can say that Roma is going to finish in a very respectable position in this season.
If Lukaku doesn't lose steam and shape, he might be among the best scorers in Europe until the European Championship starts in 2024. All the goals he scored must give him extra confidence and there is no reason to doubt he is able to score in any game. He could become the most valuable asset Roma has.
I will be honest, I don't like Lukaku as much as I like the top strikers in Europe because I thought he is not physically flexible enough, but I could be wrong and maybe should change my opinion about him. He is delivering nonstop.
Roma has the opportunity to finish in the Champions League zone, but their chances of winning the Scudetto are very small. The point gap with Inter who occupies the top of the standings is 13, but it makes sense if they target the top four which are occupied by Juventus, Milan and Napoli. Lukaku existence is a blessing, Pochettino cannot utilize his potential properly, he is too confident in his young talent in Chelsea main squad. With Roma Lukaku is quite productive, Mourinho really understands how to treat the Belgian striker.
If Roma management dares to spend money in the transfer window, then there is no harm in making Lukaku status permanent from Chelsea, his signing will not be in vain. Apart from Serie A, Lukaku has scored 3 goals in 4 matches in the Europa League, this is proof that Pochettino is wrong and Mourinho is right in seeing the potential of every player, and I don't see him having trouble with the word adaptation.
