My questions are :
Do you think it's worth the wait, he's getting 6% interest per annum but he still has to pay a lot of money and suffers a lot even to the point of having a rift with his daughter
Will you do the same thing and fight for your rights to claim the prize
$217k is not a small amount of money in the US not to mention the Philippines, so I believe the wait and the effort given to it are all worth it. This is an example of a determined heart to get justice and it's justifiable since what he pursued justice for is worth it. For the daughter, it's a mere familiar issue which will easily get resolved and I am sure with the final result, the daughter would be very proud and happy for her father.

However, the only painful part is the value of the money which would have greatly decreased over the course of the legal battle. The 6% annual interest is nothing that can quantify the decreased value of the money due to inflation in the country within the past 9 years.

The winner is an entrepreneur nearing his retirement the amount is still huge to start a business in the Philippines, but the most important thing is, that he becomes an inspiration that if you believe that it belongs to you, you should fight for it, the daughter who accidentally damages the ticket can go home now and help her father to set up a business.
The moral of the story here is to protect your ticket at all costs many people who purchased the ticket do not know that ironing the ticket will damage it, this story is one example of what you should not do to your ticket, in my case I tuck it inside the bible for additional blessing.
