Underneath it's flashy gold exterior, it is a copper coin. It ended up being quite challenging to get copper to behave - after this product, we likely will never have a gold plated copper coin again (maybe eventually we'll gold plate something else, though)
The gold plating happened before the coin is stamped - we believe this is very important, as it does not plate over any of the fine details of the coin, and we think that you'll enjoy the final product
The price of this coin will be $17, and as usual, can be bought with PayPal, DOGE or BTC.
A few asides:
We're hard at work on releasing a dogecar themed commemorative coin! We are still hand carving the die and perfecting the image, but we're excited about it.. as soon as we have pictures, they will be available.
We are in the process of working with a well-known coin authentication/grading company for the coin collector shibes who love to have their coins slabbed and authenticated - we should have an update on this in a few weeks time.
On Wednesday we will also release a new option for the copper coin to be sold in a plastic capsule. For anyone who has a coin, and wants to buy their own capsules, we have had a good experience with air-tites.com, and our coins fit in the size H39 capsule.""
