Yeah based on statistics, Chelsea has improved from last season even though at the start of this season they played badly, slowly everything can be resolved I think this is positive progress. If Chelsea does it consistently so Chelsea has the potential to become a competitor for other top teams, apart from that this is the ideal time for the coach to evaluate the team because in a few months the transfer window will open, this means that Chelsea can bring in new players to complete the squad. I personally hope Chelsea will bring in players for the defense line.
Regarding Newcastle vs Chelsea, I just checked the betting markets it seems the bookie doesn't favor any of them the odds for both teams are the same @2.6 for Newcastle and @2.55 for Chelsea I will not choose one of them but for betting I will consider both teams to score @1.65 if we bet YES this is not a bad option right? No doubt Chelsea has tremendously improved and credits must be given to Pochettino, what this team needs is to keep the fore burning and in no distant time, they’ll be competing among top teams in the league, yes the team isn’t still very balanced as it ought to be and there are still some signings that have to be made to make the team a fierce one, that should be the coach’s target in this January transfer window.
