Not saying its the case here, but Bitcoin Discussion board is such a cespool because people are making all kinds of bullshit topics and what's even worse, people answer to them. So no, ignoring is not always the best course of action.
I forgot the name of the user, but it was a temporary ban, wasn't it? The user returned to the forum later after the ban but stopped posting altogether after a while. I remember the drama. He felt the thread should be where he posted it but the mod didn't agree and thought the content isn't fitting for that board. The topic was then edited a bit only to be moved back and forth again. He was warned not to do it, did it again, and got banned...
