I have an experience of winning merchandise from a giveaway in facebook/twitter/instagram (I cant really remember it) long time ago. It was an official jersey of a football club + some other merchandises such as keychain, stickers, and a hat . I was surprised when I received it because I have to pay a tax which I think is too much. It is because the tax is counted from the shipping fee + the price of the merchandises. What I had to pay is something that I can use to buy 2 or more better t-shirt in my country The most surprising thing is that the shipping fee was more than the price of the merchandises. Although I did not pay it but it affects the tax that I had to pay. Of course it is all about preferences, maybe other countries are not charging too much for the tax but in my country can be said as an expensive one (at least for me).
