But in fact the match ended in a draw for both of them and this scenario was a good result for Inter Milan because they tried to play it safe so as not to lose their place at the top of the standings. Vlahovic opened the scoring for Juventus in the 27th minute, making the match even more pressing and Martinez managed to equalize in the 33rd minute so Inter Milan played the match with full control. Because their finishing was less than optimal, they were unable to score additional goals until the match ended.
Inter were lucky that they were able to equalized so quickly, I think that if Juventus were able to hold onto the winning score longer it might have forced Inter to make more mistakes in wanting to score, but Inter quickly equalized and looked more active in wanting to win. A draw was a more acceptable result for Inter than for Juventus, as they were able to maintain their advantage in the away match.
