What I noticed though is the fact that the card is protected with a transparent plastic which is supposed to be removed (at least, in case the owner wants to have access to the private key). But the protection seems impossible to be removed. I am afraid that if I'll try to scratch it with my fingernail or something sharp I may damage the card. Any idea about how to remove that transparent protection? (Perhaps cygan knows more about this technicality?)

the card is laminated on both sides and to get the private key it is sufficient to remove the hologram with e.g. a carpet knife or another sharp and pointed object. only the part around the hologram will be 'destroyed'. between the holo and the pk (as qr-code) there is a piece of paper to provide further protection
