I hate to suggest it but a lot of people seem to like the x11 algo a lot better than nscrypt (runs cooler etc.). Perhaps look at a hard fork with algo change?
I'm not familiar with the X11 algo. What are the advantages? ( You mentioned just that runs cooler ;p )
Some advantages are this runs cooler, less energy used (see
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=538464.0 for the faq with links) . Uses 11 rounds of different hashing algos; blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo (see Darkcoin
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.0) So still makes this ASIC resistant (which was the point of NSCRYPT) and I did some mining myself with X11 and runs alot quieter. I couldnt confirm the less energy myself but my miner didnt sound like a jet engine and temps run alot cooler!
I find it pretty interesting to be honest.
I'll talk with some people about your suggestion.
