Somehow, seeing this account to take advantage of these uncertain times to the forum is nothing surprising, to be honest. While this forum asking KYC information would be extremely unlikely, the situation and the atmosphere of these hours may make more than one user to fall in your attempt to spread panic.
If you are talking about this forum, there will be no KYC.
Even those social media do not require KYC, not to talk of forums.
This isn’t exactly totally true. Some of us have already provided this forum with KYC information in order to properly be taxed for our income here. While I’m sure this is a very small number of users, it is a fact that users here have already had to provide this information, in my case several years ago, so it isn’t a totally crazy idea.
It is a special case, indeed, though it mostly depends on the jurisdiction one lives in.
Also, I may be wrong, but some social media actually requires us to summit some personal information in order to enhance security (according to them) for example on Twitter/X we all are encouraged to give our country of origin, telephone number, preferred languages, etc. That would me more than enough for an intelligence agency to identify is if they really wanted to.
