The way Leverkusen are playing is really impressive. Today against Dortmund their performance was again really good. There was a dominant game by Leverkusen but they weren't on their good day on one hand. Because despite trying really hard they still couldn't score more than one goal. Even that equalizer came quite late in the game.
I mean Dortmund could have even won here without showing a decent performance. Because I can't say that they were good at all today. But it is normal to see that because of Leverkusen's great system. Especially in away games your job is much more difficult against them.
Leverkusen is still quite consistent in every match because they are able to make the situation better by avoiding defeat. Yes, today match ended in a draw with a score of 1-1 and both teams shared the same points, but what was amazing of course came from leverkusen because they were able to dominate the game and also recorded many attacks in this match but unfortunately they were only able to score 1 goal. So, by achieving 1 point in this match, Leverkusen continues to lead the standing by 3 point ahead of the Bayern Munich team who are in second place. However, Bayern munich still has one match that they have not played due to it being postponed.
This season the competition in the Bundesliga will be quite fierce if you look at Leverkusen consistency in maintaining their performance so as not to lose points. Dortmund have one big obstacle this season in their squad because Bellingham departure means they have not been able to balance their strengths better this season. Dortmund are still fighting to return to the top 4 and while they are only 1 point behind Leipzig. But in the Champions League, Dortmund performance is better than the Bundesliga, of course that is one thing that is quite positive for them.
