Not sure, I k now I have received some that have definitely collected dust, but I've also received the majority that were new and fresh. I think they do send out refurbished units. While I don't personally condone sending out refurbished units with new units, the bottom line is they are tested, they work and the have the same warranty. Without a doubt bitmain is mining on their machines, they'd be crazy not to. It almost seems though, that in order to process shipments as quickly as possible and to mitigate delays that might happen, they ship from their mining farm immediately so that a delay would only cost them mining time, and not the customer.
