From a privacy point of view, this is unsafe. I recommend abstaining from this forum-related image hostings. Use independent 3rd party image hosting not associated with the forumYour image hosting only enhances the centralization of the forum. If the feds come again, your IP's from that image hosting perhaps will be accidentally leaked
The service was designed especially with the needs of the forum in mind, but it has nothing to do with the forum. It is a completely independent and autonomous service. Furthermore, this type of danger that you speak of occurs in any type of image hosting service. Making this type of observation shows how unaware you are of how hosting services work.
But, no one is forced to use this service, whoever wants to use it.
