Gabriel Jesus is no worth than Vlahovic. Actually I think they are at least equal in quality and I also think that a highly technically versed player like Jesus fits better into the team, the system and the style that Arsenal is playing. This could just be my taste and I wonder what everyone here thinks, but what did Vlahovic achieve in his career? Everyone thought he would instantly breakthrough at Juventus, but he isn't as strong as most people thought because he scored so many goals at a young age for Fiorentina. This doesn't mean he is bad, not at all, but we are talking about a player who went from Fiorentina to Juventus and got worse.
I hate to see when people speak without facts. You know ball and in addition to all you have pointed out, Jesus has had 14 appearance this season and has scored 5 goals while Vlahovic has seems to have appeared 13 times with 5 goals, where exactly is any argument needed. The two of them are good but with Jesus position, he ought to have done better by far this season, look at his friends like Saka and Nketkiah with more goals than him despite the little appearance differences.
Gabriel has done a very significant amount of goals on Manchester City and I believe it was because of his records he attracted many people attention but Arsenal got the bid but this consistent injuries is bad for Arsenal business and I think they will sell him very soon than expected. This was how Hazard became burden to Real Madrid until man became a norm benching device that was never useful and couldn't be sold, I hope Arsenal are not following the same route of investment.
Are you arguing about some decimals? Vlahovic scored 15 goals in 36 games, which is a rate of 0.417 goals per game for Juventus Turin across all competitions. Gabriel Jesus scored 11 goals in 26 games, which is a rate of 0.423 goals per game for Arsenal.
When a club wants a new striker because they see the need for it, wouldn't it be comprehensible if they look for an alternative player who clearly outcompetes the existing ones? We are talking about Arsenal, it is not like they have to take whatever player they is. They are also not poor.
The discussion isn't really about whether one player is 3% better than the other player, but about whether Vlahovic would be a substantial improvement over the existing situation. I doubt that it is. That's my point.
