Xabi applied very impressive tactics for Leverkusen. It is proven that Leverkusen is in the top (1st place) of Bundesliga standings. His tactics are also unique because he doesn't rely on the attackers only for scoring goals. In some matches, we can see that the goals were made by defenders and midfielders. But I think Xabi needs better attackers to make Leverkusen be more productive in scoring goals. I hope he is considering to sign top attackers in January transfer window.
The tactics applied by Xabi Alonso seem to want all players to have individual skills in scoring goals.  Making whatever you want can create your own opportunities and this is quite unique in my opinion. Not many coaches emphasize plays like this anymore in football. Because what we see now is more emphasis on one central player who is the goal scorer. I really agree that this tactic needs to be developed by Xabi at Leverkusen so that it will  create more stability in attacks from all directions and be able to fill the void if a striker is injured but his goal scoring effectiveness can still be demonstrated. Xabi Alonso plus point has made Leverkusen  players have a high selling value from what they have achieved this season. The individual abilities  that continue to be developed do not rule out the possibility that Leverkusen graduates  will be highly sought after by big European teams.
Well, that's what we call "team" football, he doesn't really have superstars that he relies on, and some managers do like that, even if City looks like they are doing fine when Haaland doesn't play, remember that they didn't win the UCL without him, some managers just do enjoy stars to get some attention.

Xabi ends up playing a game where everyone has a role to play, no matter how good or bad you might be, you have a role and you need to do that role to the perfection. For this to work, you need the whole team to work like a machine together, not really bother anything or change anything, you need to do fine. This is why I believe that the best thing to do in this case would be just assuming that he will give some freedom to them.

That's not a good reason to say Xabi Alonso is a good coach because he was a good player when he was playing for a famous team like Real Madrid, there are many other famous players who could never be good coaches after they got retired as a player. I think Xabi Alonso made a good team in Leverkusen and that's mostly because of the knowledge he got and time after time when he gets experienced he can have even better performance.
