I also expected Leverkusen to win against Dortmund. Leverkusen performed well in this match as well. But they had bad luck so they failed to win. Throughout the match, we saw the dominance of Leverkusen's players. Dortmund only tightened their defense after scoring in just 5 minutes. On the other hand, Leverkusen's players played completely attacking. But it was not easy for Leverkusen to break Dortmund's 10-man defense. Leverkusen still managed to get 1 point in the end. The top spot in the points table is still occupied by Leverkusen.
I think it was luck that Leverkusen was able to get 1 score in the second half after being 1 point behind in the first half and initially I thought Dortmund could win because even though Leverkusen often attacked, I didn't doubt Dortmund's defensive performance which is known to have a strong defense and fortunately Boniface was able to looked for a gap to score and managed to maintain their position and after a draw both clubs seemed to maintain their score equally and in short order both clubs strengthened their defense, especially Leverkusen who did not want to lose the match.
This draw still gives first place in the points table but I don't think Leverkusen position is safe.
