I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.
Most basically, gambling addictions is instigated through the excitement of winning but in a general term, it is basically an inability to control ones emotion's at either winning winning or loosing
It is difficult to control one's emotions in gambling, when a gambler wins some money, he thinks why not gamble with more money.  Because of this thinking, he bets relatively more money on the next gamble and if he loses on the second gamble, then it is not right for him to gamble with that much money. When a gambler gains by gambling, he becomes more addicted to gambling and when a gambler loses money by gambling, he decides to gamble again to recover that money. That is, whether a gambler gains or loses, he has a target to gamble. There are very few gamblers who can control their emotions and gamble, but those who can control their emotions do not make many wrong decisions in gambling.
Every time a player wins, dopamine is produced in his brain over and over again. The player is prompted by this and wants to experience it again. Even if we are independent of this and abandon the game, after a few weeks we will definitely remember this and it will call us like a voice from afar. That's why so many players return to the game and play a lot in the future, and those who play a lot will end up with nothing. The player will wonder when the winnings will start again, but they won’t.

Having won money, the player has the illusion that it is easy to do and he may not give this money full value, which means he will lose it at one moment and only after that he will realize what he has done.
