What term retirement usually denotes to is, to stop working. People often don't like job, so to retire usually tends to be on top of the list. However, if one likes what he does, he will do something similar to pass the time even after retirement.
Now, I'll be honest, I dunno what I am driving at but I wanted to spark topic about retirement. Now, you go,
Well, when such a moment arrives it does not seem to be the best, yes it is strange, but at least it is my sensation not of readings or guides for the retreat, but of real people that I have been able to meet along way...
In general, I think that, retirement is very linked to how easy or difficult on the activity you have carried out throughout your life, and in that idea, as I mentioned, it can be easy or very difficult, then, those who somehow way they could "enjoy" what they were doing, they chose to continue with their own businesses or semi-retire. In fact, they enjoy being in those "fights."
Then I have been able to meet, even relatives who literally retire and do nothing but "live."
On the other hand, I was closely touched by a relative who was a teacher for more than 30 years, and leaving her activities has been tremendously hard, she goes through phases where she hears the bell for recess and dismissal, hears voices, etc. She is in therapy and, as she told me, she practically retired to get sick and dedicate herself to her health.
Anyway, as I said, it is not such an easy topic, but if it is planned in a certain way, those who can can make a retreat for the third age very happily, at least maybe there is that possibility.
