Manchester United are looking for their striker options in the market. Openda and Guirassy are the most popular names being called with the Red Devils these days. Each one of them would cost them quite a high amount of money for sure. Because both of them are valuable players already due to their impressive performances.
Their teams wouldn't like to let any of them go that easy. Their demand for a transfer fee would be solid. Manchester United are still a rich team of course. If they really feel like they need to sign a striker then they would be ready to spend whatever amount is needed.
This is the first such bright season for Gyurassi in his entire career, and given the fact that he is already 27, his contract is very different from the contracts of young or already established stars. Guirassi's compensation for premature termination of the contract is worth a ridiculous 17.5 million euros (and this termination of the contract can be activated as early as this winter). This is insignificant money for any top/near top club. The question is that if there is demand for this forward from other clubs, he will choose the club with the most favorable conditions (signing bonus + salary), so the final price can turn out to be really high.
But buying him expensive is a huge risk - just look at his stats over the years, he are pretty average (if you go by the numbers). Maybe this season many different factors have come together so that he scores a lot, but there is no guarantee that if he moves to United he will continue to do so. Even Rashford, who scored a lot last season, now barely scores at all, or Hoylund, who doesn’t seem to have scored a single goal in 12 games.
