I'm sure it is. The fact is that a single person has much more time to do such things, but if a gambler has a family and especially children, he has very little time to take care of himself. A single guy is looking for ways to earn or entertain himself and all that can be provided in gambling. It's very easy to start playing out of boredom, and then believe that you can make money with it. Although it would certainly be wrong. And a married guy is looking for more reliable sources of income that will definitely bring money, even if they are not big, but guaranteed, of course I mean part-time jobs at official workplaces.

I’ve always thought the majority of us tend to behave more responsible after getting married. And we automatically curb or stop totally some not so healthy things we previously did.
A man losses his family suddenly and becomes lonely overnight. That could push just about anyone to relapse back into whatever activity he did before and quit cause of his family. It could also push an ordinarily leisure gambler into gambling excessively.

Without any responsibility, it would easy for anyone to do as he pleases as the repercussions would only befall him and no one else.
