Leverkusen continued with their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga but they failed to increase the gap between them and Bayern Munich. Xabi Alonso's side would have maximized the loss by Munich by winning the game against VfB Stuttgart, but a draw is still better than losing the entire three points.
Stuttgart played amazingly and this was beyond my expectations. But indeed Stuttgart worked well, they dominated with 12 shots on goal. Luckily both teams appeared open so this match was entertaining. Some of my friends are championing Leverkusen to win. Stuttgart pressed early on and allowed Lukas Hradecky to make a fine save. If not, it is possible that Stuttgart will win. But I'm impressed if I look at the statistics of at least 40 kick attempts.
There weren't many goals in this match even though both teams seemed to play aggressively, the defense was equally good, they took lots of shots, only resulting in 1 goal and managed to draw 1:1. Stuttgart took the lead in the first half and after halftime and the second half started, Leverkusen immediately launched an attack and managed to equalize in the 47th minute, at least both teams must be satisfied with the results of sharing these points and no one suffered defeat.
A draw is not a bad result for Leverkusen because this club has not experienced defeat in the Bundesliga, Leverkusen is the only club that has not been defeated in all competitions and this is an extraordinary achievement. I did not think that Xabi Alonso could make Leverkusen at an unbeatable level even though the club has played many matches, namely 22 matches, Xabi Alonso is truly an extraordinary coach.
