If you are onto gambling for the first time it's not possible to get addicted to gambling because you haven't tasted what winning feels like, you will be consumed by doubts and uncertainty.

But wait till you have a taste, win some money, that's where you start feeling like there is more if you keep digging, is this not where gambling addiction starts?

We have had a lot of conversations about gambling addiction, but I had the same conversation with someone close yesterday and this was my answer to him.

Do you think its possible to become addicted to gambling when you haven't win a dime or after you win?

I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.

Most likely when we're winning (or on a winning streak), this will begin for us to become tempted to spending more time and money to gamble thus higher risk of losing even more money. This is something that I really needed to avoid after learning my lessons from the past where I am struggling to control my gambling habits by spending way beyond my limits.

When I win either in sports betting or any online casino game, that got me thinking of betting some more instead of being happy of my small wins. Greediness is one thing that is really tough to control and manage when we are either on a winning or losing streak.

It is hard to overcome and it would take a while until you're finally disciplined to just control and spend an extra amount that you can afford to lose that is within your means and limits.
