What term retirement usually denotes to is, to stop working. People often don't like job, so to retire usually tends to be on top of the list. However, if one likes what he does, he will do something similar to pass the time even after retirement.

When you retire, that only means it's time to leave your job and focus on your own welfare by enjoying the remaining days of your life. Old age is inevitable so we have to face it more wisely. And by being wise, which means if you are still able to work then continue working but be mindful already on your health and body, as they said old age deteriorates also the body and mind.
However, that is an individual's choice. While some still want to be use their skills and work all day, others just want to live the best days of their life by traveling with their family or enjoying picnics with them and making more meaningful memories with the family.
