In my opinion, gambling addiction has nothing to do with the success of the gambler. Based on the mathematical analysis of gambling in the long term almost every gambler will lose to the casino or bookmaker. What success are you talking about? We are all well aware that gambling is not a job, which means in this area will not be able to earn consistently. Today you are successful, and tomorrow you lose everything. Or am I wrong?
Successful gamblers are never addicted to gambling because they are always patient and keep gambling patiently without panicking and do not gamble for a long time together, gamble with a break and cool and withdraw immediately if they get a big win. Because they know very well that if they keep gambling like that, they will eventually lose them all. And panic gamblers always want to get rich quickly, which is why they quickly exhaust their gambling budget by placing high-amount single bets and re-deposit. I think I agree absolutely with @coinerer that there are actually successful gamblers and frankly I’ve seen a professional gambler ie. someone who gambles as a profession without any remorse and then he believes life isn’t fair and you shouldn’t expect a fair life from gambling, hence we should only gamble what we can afford to lose and one funny thing about the guy is that he said “I stake a game carefully like my life depends on it but yet I act like I already lost the game “ with all this been said, there are successful gamblers but just like every other profession, nothing good comes easy.
Skills and luck combine, but that mindset that he's not expecting, but he's leaning on it, there's a gambler who can balance their emotions and so good in terms of money management. They allow things accordingly, and they assess where to get that opportunity, then grab it to make sure that they can convert something good with their skills.
Successful gamblers who use the venue to make money are not usual, only few who can manage.
