He isn't talking about trading but he said to invest. However, investing is passive and if he wants to get daily profits, that would be possible in trading because we can work our way through fluctuations. There are also other activities which lets us obtain daily profits but they are fixed and the profit that we can get on them are only small because we are not primarily running the business.

We are only being paid by the people behind it. You said Ponzi schemes are one of the options and Ponzi's are high paying despite being controlled by someone else. They are only riskier than in trading. Most people are only losing on them than gaining a profit, so I won't recommend doing that.
