Erik Ten Hag might resigned from his position as headcoach this season after facing challenges weigh bigger than his capacity this season. Manchester united have lost quite relevant points in matches and they got eliminated from the UEFA Champions League last night against Bayern Munich. I would say the problem of the Red Devils originates from the players and the Glazers who happen to be the owners. The coach on othe hand is also making mistakes, making wrong signings. Two straight defeats in a row and now they will face Liverpool this weekend at Anfield stadium, clearly bad news for the Red Devils.
There's not a single sector of Manchester United that is doing well. Ten Hag just happens to be the most obvious one. In my opinion, he should be fired by the club because waiting for him to resign is a waste of time, it won't happen. Manchester United better not make the same mistake Chelsea made last season by leaving Potter till there was no hope of winning any trophy before firing him.
Firing a coach is expensive though because you have to pay him off but it's the best decision. If a new manager comes in and Manchester United starts playing well and winning they might have a chance to win other trophies like the FA Cup or Carabao Cup. Even if they don't win, they'll be able to compete for those trophies if they have the right manager.
