Then how do you propose to check if a candidate is indeed female or not? By (having her) submitting her KYC?
Meet in person to follow through with various performance tests and a full-body inspection... not necessarily in that order.

Nah, that won't work, we can't be sure until they pull their pants down, because looks could be deceiving you know? 😉.. I hate to be going here with you, but yes, pulling down pants is part of the full-body inspection.... and there would likely need to be a team of inspectors.. unless the nominees would be flown to a particular destination, perhaps the inspectors would be chosen at random from an eligible group in order not to discriminate.(or alternatively perhaps vote for the inspection committee, which may or may not result in discrimination.. who would want someone on an inspection team who is not able to discriminate to be making these kinds of decisions? #asking for a friend)
