Is incredible how this Atletico Madrid is wasting the chance to be on top of the league, always when they have a little chance waste it agains X team, on this day against Bilbao who is a very hard team to beat on San Mames, but anyways they need to overcome this issue if they want to become champions.

Atletico Madrid played badly in this match, because with their dominance in possession of the ball they could at least get 1 point. But we also have to remember that Athletic Bilbao isn't a team that's easy to beat at home. So, I think this can be a lesson for Atletico Madrid not to waste their opportunities.

Currently Girona still leads the La Liga standings with 41 points, and they will face Alaves in the next match, I think Girona can fly even further in the future.

Atletico Madrid did not play very well, but I think what needs to be talked about here is how strong a rival Atletico Bilbao is. They literally didn't let them play games. Atletic Bilbao also had one missed penalty. However, I don't remember any team leaving Atletico Madrid this helpless this season. The Williams brothers are in great form and they put on a show in this match.

In this match Atletico were only busy playing the ball without being able to do anything more to threaten Bilbao in attack on the other hand, they were also in defense only focused on the ball without seeing Bilbao players who could run freely without the slightest guard. That can be proven when the first goal, actually all Atletico players were in the penalty box and their defense area but on the other hand Guruzeta was able to create a goal easily because he stood without any guard from Atletico players.
Though this is a good opportunity to keep them away from Barcelona but with this defeat it looks like Barcelona will overtake Atletico again even though Atletico still have 1 game remaining.

In another match we saw Sevilla again slaughtered with a fairly striking score from Getafe in their home match.
