I wanted to create a clothing brand, buying clothes from bangladesh and china and selling under my brand and funding this project with an altcoin...the owners of the altcoin would be the owners of the brand.

Maybe or maybe not. This kind of business is quite common. Probably some apparels are using crypto as payment already and those are btc eth and major coins. Im not sure why they need to buy an unknown coin to purchase clothes? Which they can be done using nornal coins and popular already. Unless you ca make the project significant or famous too. Probably some would get interest.
