Sevilla had a terrible group stage. It was much worse this time compared to the previous season which led them to finish the group in the 4th position. I was wondering what they were going to do in the last match which was critical for them and they had to win for the Europa League ticket. But they failed and even lost the match.  Sad

This season Sevilla are terrible not only in the Champions League but also the La Liga. Diego Alonso has just got sacked after the 3-0 home loss against Getafe. I wonder what will happen to this team from now on.
Sevilla is one of three teams that failed to win a single win in the Champions League group stage. This is very scary because the other teams that did not achieve a single win were Red Star and Union Berlin, which could be called mediocre teams. Actually I hope Sevilla can appear in the UEFA European League because they have an impressive record there. But after seeing their ranking in the league I think Sevilla this season is really ruined and does not deserve to qualify for the UEFA European League. Last season they achieved 13 wins at the end of the season. And this season they only achieved 2 wins from 16 matches.
Actually, Sevilla's failure in the Champions League was predictable by looking at their performance in La Liga. In La Liga alone they have only recorded 2 wins from the 16 matches they have played, so I'm not too surprised when in the Champions League they didn't even win once.
Sevilla's decline is obvious, so it's not unusual for them not to be able to place at least in the Europa League this season. The managemen must totally evaluate the team, as they are also in danger of being relegated this season. They are 16th with 13 points, the same points that 18th-placed Cadiz have. That's certainly not good for a club that is known to be good in the Europa League, and they are even the club that has won the most titles there.
