Last season, Napoli dominated the Italian Serie A and despite Inter Milan's brilliance of last season that saw them reach the final UEFA Champions League league, they couldn't match Napoli's performance in the Italian league. However, Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has taken it upon himself to make sure he rewrites that particular story of concerning the dominance of the Italian league this season and his determination to make sure his side dominates the most part of the league this season as well as winning the league at the end of the season has seen Inter Milan deliver incredible performances in the league since the start of the season. They've undoubtedly been the most consistent team in the Italian Serie A but how they've managed to win most of the away games against top teams in the league this season has completely been a surprise to me. Lazio as we all know is a strong Italian team but just like majority of the opponents Inter Milan faced in the league this season, they were convincingly defeated yesterday as Inter Milan extended their lead at the top of the table back to four points.
Inter Milan has been performing exceptionally well in the UEFA Champions League since the start of the season but I think they're more focused in winning the Italian Serie A title at the end of the season more than they're interested in winning the UCL and if they can continue with their current form in the league, I don't think there's anything that's gonna stop them from winning the league this season.
Napoli last season was really impressive, they even made fans of other teams across Europe develop love for them, based on their style of play and success rate in their league, which made them win the Scudetto for the 2022/23 season but they failed when they made the wrong choice of coach and it really hindered their performance at the early stages of this season, well I doubt if they'll be able to defend their trophy this season cause Intermilan Is hell bent on winning the league this season, they've been really dominant for a while and I see them as the potential winners of the Scudetto.
Since the arrival of Napoli's new coach, they've been trying to get back together and are doing pretty good, however they ought to ensure that consistency should be the goal, if they want to qualify for the UCL, they're in the 5th place on the standing with just few points away from being among top four, therefore I feel the top four race is not over for them yet , cause there are still lots of games remaining to be played.
