Despite managing to get 1 point against Liverpool, Manchester United's performance was very poor. They played defensively badly. If Liverpool could have scored a goal, Manchester United would not have been able to make a comeback. It is not always possible to score points by playing defensive tactics. I don't see Manchester United winning against West Ham unless their performance improves. If you want to get 3 points, you have to perform better. And certainly cannot be played with such a defensive strategy. As an opponent, the West Ham team cannot be called too weak.
Playing defensively is the most appropriate way for Manchester United to avoid two consecutive defeats because they previously lost badly to Bournemouth at Old Trafford and losing again will increase criticism of them and I'm pretty sure what they are showing is not a sign that they are improving because the next match they will still be likely to lose or only get one point.
From the draw against Liverpool where the match ended goalless proves that Manchester United have problems on their front lines and the one point obtained can be said to be a fortune because many Liverpool opportunities failed to be maximized.
Manchester United's last three matches this year are against West Ham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest and from these three matches they will likely return to defeat, especially when facing Aston Villa who is in a very good trend in the last five matches, will Ten Haag apply a defensive strategy again? and if so it is like a stupid decision from a coach who is frustrated with the state of his team.
