I don’t know how you said you have been here for around a year now, but if that is true, you are supposed to be aware of how merit systems work and are not good at begging for merit. You create meaningful and educative content, and the forum members will appreciate your contribution by meriting your post. People you see with thousands of merits did not beg for a single one of them; they worked for it, so even you too, that is the only way you can earn merit. Merit is not hard to earn; just know what to do, and merit will come naturally.
