It is quite obvious that Napoli are struggling this season, and there is no way they can get to where they were last season because the team has lost that team spirit that was in their team, and the thrive towards breaking the yoke of not winning the Scudetto tittle for years. This season, they have been so poor in form, and if they do not push towards winning more games, they won't qualify for the Champions league next season. They were able to keep some of their best players of last season till this season, but if they do not qualify for the Champions league next season,it will make those players want to leave. For instance, Osimhen is considering moving to England, and his prefered destination is any of the London teams, either Chelsea or Arsenal.

I perceived towards the end of last season that Napoli will struggle this season. Towards the end of the season, they began to struggle to win games which made them wait for several games before they finally won the Scudetto. The departure of Luciano Spalletti and the erroneous signing Rudi Garcia . The French coach has never won any major trophy in his coaching career. I was surprised that Aureli De Laurentiis had to settle for a coach that was sacked by Al-Nassr due to his poor tactics when there were options to get coaches like Luis Enrique, Roberto De Zerbi, Thiago Motta and Vincenzo Italiano. Rudi came and almost destroyed the team with his poor tactics and divisive leadership style.

Walter Mazzarri might not be a top-class coach that Napoli fans will hope to take over the club but he is not doing badly. Qualifying for the Champions League second round is a remarkable achievement. The coach has also put more effort into uniting the players as we are seeing the combination of Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia bearing more fruit. The club has started winning more games, so all hope is not lost. They still have the chance of defending the Seria A title.
