Bochum is not actually a difficult opponent for Leverkusen but for them winning is the most important thing to get and they don't underestimate any of their opponents, so winning with a landslide score of 4 - 0 was a good victory for Leverkusen to solidify their position at the top of the standings.
Xabi Alonso, the extraordinary coach currently in the Bundesliga with Leverkusen unbeaten in every game at the moment, seems to have more motivation than wanting to continue to be in first place, they also want to maintain this unbeaten record. So it's not surprising that they were able to beat Bochum with a convincing score. It's extraordinary how Xabi Alonso changed Leverusken.
Maintaining a wide point difference in Munich is certainly something that must be done for Leverkusen in order to win the title this season as well as break Munich's record of dominating the Bundesliga title in a row. Leverkusen must be consistent until the end of the season and this is Xabi Alonso's challenge to bring Leverkusen to become champions.
I think everyone (except Bayer Munich fans) wants Leverkusen to destroy Bayern Munich's dominance in the Bundesliga because many people are starting to get bored of Bayern Munich dominating the Bundesliga too much. I myself hope that Leverkusen will become the new champions in the Bundesliga this season.
