Xabi Alonso needs to be selective in targeting players in the January transfer market, the need for new energy in the starting XI is not that urgent but as an adequate rotation option they need to do it. The most unpredictable challenge is injury, Laverkursen has a busy match schedule and to compensate for this requires an even squad depth so that it can be stable in each competition. For now, there is no visible weakness in Xabi Alonso squad, as competition increases, this will show itself.
Consistency to achieve success at the end of the season requires many things, Xabi Alonso really understands the dynamics of the Bundesliga and the dominance of Bayern Munich because he was once part of them. The Bundesliga, European League and DFB Pokal are favorites for Laverkusen as a strong candidate to challenge for the title, the scale of competition priorities means that Xabi Alonso needs to do something in the transfer market.
Currently Leverkusen are solid in their squad build up, all players and management personnels in check too. They've in the first half of the season gain buoyancy and have attained high feats. It's very much impressive that Alonso was able to set up and head so well as team to this point of greatness. They're now changing the whole narrative of sport in the Bundesliga. The transfer windows are almost open so it's up to Alonso to carefully select new men that's complement and even help the team grow higher.
I don't have an iota of doubt that in the next half and in coming weeks, Leverkusen would create an atmosphere of dreadedness around their team. Munich are feeling the heat from them and it only keeps showing that there's still more heat to come. I've actually never been so confident in any team as I am for Leverkusen. They're basking in the right glory and it's only fun and beautiful to watch how far and well they've been able to perform so far. Maybe this is a new beginning in the German umbrella. More to come from Leverkusen.
