They say prevention is better than cure so I guess the best low cost or zero cost solution to gambling addiction is the conscious prevention of oneself from falling into gambling addiction. It doesn't take much all it does take is self discipline, being in charge of your gambling habits and with a good money management.

However, for such a person that has already falling into the addiction and intentionally wants to kill it talking to people about it and engaging them into discussion about possible suggestions on how you can be able to deal with the addiction and this suggestions you make sure it's coming from people with a real life experience of gambling addiction. Then ones in a while the addict can also seek the service of a professional therapist too. In this way you can cut cost while achieving a lot.
If more gamblers realized that they needed to prevent themselves from falling into gambling addiction, many problems in gambling could be solved, and the number of people who are addicted to gambling could increase. But the problem is that these people don't want to realize what will happen to them if they become addicted to gambling. They only think about making money quickly without thinking about what the risks are for them. There is no self-control, boundaries, or self-discipline in gambling, so they only make themselves fall into gambling and become deeper into their gambling addiction. This needs to be addressed immediately, and people who are addicted to gambling must be willing to admit that they are addicted to gambling and need help to cure their gambling addiction.

They need help from other parties, and if there are family members who know that they are addicted to gambling, family members can start helping them by taking them to experts. They must accompany people who are addicted to gambling so that people do not feel alone in fighting to cure their gambling addiction. He will see that there are members of his family who are also fighting with him, so this will encourage him to be able to persist through the therapy process.
If it was easy on the first place then we would see that gambling business or venture or industry wont really be that profitable or wont really be able to boom out but we are seeing the different side of things on which it would really be just that right that you should really be that responsible on the actions that you are making. You cant really just that make yourself that too careless when it comes to spending because it would really be that ended on devastation and addiction would really be coming into that severe manner.Once you do make yourself get shackled with gambling addiction
then it would really be that hard for you to get out or would be able to quit upon. This is why you should really be that careful and sensible on the things that you are dealing with.
There's nothing that's hard if you put in your mind to do it you will always find an attainable way out. If you are intentional and conscious about it then hard is just a word.

The increment in gambling addiction doesn't count for increased boom in the gambling business, people can all play the gambling responsibly and we will still have the gambling industry booming. You should rather be worried if there's an increase in gambling addiction in society for it can lead to a protest from concern citizens to ban or reduce the number of gambling hubs/sites across the society to help reduce the addiction level and that will be bad for the gambling business as an industry.

If  a smoker can craft out a way working together with the support of his family to eliminate his smoking addiction then it can't be different for a gambling addict in getting the solution he wants.

Well, it's indeed true that if there's a chance that gambling addiction starts to increase and the stats shows that this issue must be eliminated as it's already affecting a lot of people, one thing that they can do is to closed down any gambling establishment or ban it. The thing is most of the countries with numbers of casino has contributed a lot in the economy with the tax they pay, just imagine the impact of it to the economy once they prohibited gambling to the country.
The enormous benefits the government are raking out from the gambling industry makes it difficult for them to go hard on enacting rigid laws against them that will hamper their activities thereby affecting the rate of taxes they would be paying out based on what they eventually make. But the government has a policy approach they use to balance all of these that the gambling industry doesn't lose out in users base while making sure that a lot of their citizens don't get too entangled in to gambling addiction.

I couldn't help but laugh in the picture but one thing for sure that the husband might have a worse addiction to reach this far, but for sure he is willing to accept that condition for his own sake and for the family. Changes starts from you, if you cannot help yourself you can ask for help from your friends, family, partner, and much better the professionals.
It was funny to me too at first when I saw it but whatever means to achieve a good result towards a lingering problem I think accepting and working together in attaining it shouldn't be something to be ashamed of even if some other person's may term it weird and make jest of it. No one will understand the agony of addiction not until they experience it themself or someone dear to them is indulge in it.
