There is no doubt that the Girona team is performing very well. Real Madrid and Girona are still level on points. We also saw excellent performances from Girona players against Barcelona. However, I feel that this team does not have the ability to win the title. This team is not experienced enough. Real Madrid is still the favorite to win the title.
Atletico Madrid and Barcelona's performances have been somewhat erratic despite having strong squads. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are 7 points behind Real Madrid and Girona. Closing this 7 point gap is a much tougher task. Real Madrid lost only 9 points in 18 matches. If Barcelona and Atletico Madrid manage to win back-to-back matches in the remaining 20 matches, they have a chance to go top of the table.
I'm still not convinced that Girona is a strong candidate for the league title this season regardless of their excellent performance a d their consistency in winning and quickly racing to the top of the table, they seem to be using the strategy of using the smaller teams to win the league while the loose to the bigger teams but then in this second round of the league they may have troubles.
Real Madrid still remains the top and most probable team for the title this season, I don't see Barcelona any way close to the title although a lot can change after the Christmas because the still have about twenty games to the end of the league , what will really matter at this point will have to consistency, teams who can stay consistent with their performance and their results will be able to maintain the stamina to stay long enough or probably climb to the top by displacing others in other to win the title, Atletico seem to lack such consistency.
