Girona's achievements after last season only reached 10th place and then this season competing at the top deserves the greatest appreciation. And what makes Girona unique is that their squad depth is not as good as Real Madrid or Barcelona. But their performance has matched Real Madrid and is currently even better than Barcelona. An interesting thing this season also happened because of the presence of Girona in the competition at the top.
What I hope is that Girona can at least stay in the top 4 zone so they can get a ticket to the Champions League. And with their current performance this should be possible. Even winning a title can happen. And actually, if we look at who owns the most shares in Girona, we won't be surprised by Girona's current performance. Because the fact that everyone should know is that Girona and Manchester City are under the City Football Group. However, the difference is that Manchester City has many extraordinary players so it is natural that they are extraordinary in the EPL. But Girona is only filled with ordinary players but they can be extraordinary now in Laliga.
It would be a great pleasure to see Girona lift the laliga title this season considering how well they have played this season taking everybody by surprise and also causing alot of upsets beating Barcelona and several other big clubs in the laliga, I know it wouldn't be easy for them to achieve this feat, at least not without a fight from Real Madrid, Barca, or Athletico Madrid but I think they have all it takes to emerge as winners of the laliga this season having come this far.
Well, it will be a different sensation when Girona can finally win the title this season. And what I hope is that there will be some kind of encouragement for other clubs to follow Girona. That ordinary teams can also change for the better. In the Premier League currently, Aston Villa is also surprising everyone. And Girona of course in Laliga surprised everyone even more. Because Girona has only been competing in Laliga for the past 2 seasons. But they have made rapid progress in these two seasons.
But right now I still have thoughts stuck in my mind. Namely because Girona (Laliga) and Manchester City (EPL) have the same owner. So, can 2 clubs from the same owner qualify for the Champions League at the same time?
