No doubt that you are probably right here. I only wanted to remark that when you just look at the table without checking some of the results, you would think that Darmstadt's chances are dead, but that isn't yet the case as they have played some games where it almost felt sad for them that they lost the game. The last time I had a look it was the draw against Hoffenheim that got me thinking maybe a miracle can be possible. I think the same about Luton Town in the Premier League. Now they won at home against Newcastle and three weeks before they had a lead against Arsenal, conceded a goal, which made it 3-3 and then they conceded another goal in the 97th minute. But Luton Town is still alive and I think Darmstadt is similar.
Maybe there is still hope to get out of the relegation zone in the next few matches because there are still quite a lot of matches, but when we compare Luton Town in the English league with Darmstadt in the Bundesliga it will be very different. Darmstadt have only scored two wins in the matches that have taken place and this is a bad achievement if they want to stay in the Bundesliga. The quality of players is important because they have to work collectively to bring victory in every match.
Likewise, if they don't try to play better in the next match, then their position will be much more difficult to get out of the relegation zone. Without changes implemented by the coach, I doubt Darmstadt can get out of the relegation zone because the competition in the second half of the season will be much tighter.
I am not saying that the comparison Darmstadt and Luton Town is perfect or meant to tell us what's going to happen with Darmstadt at the end of the season, but Darmstadt is repeatedly getting a point from their game and that keeps them alive. I think most people thought that Luton Town would be so far behind after half of the season is played, but they are not because they do get a point here and there. All these draws can add up when the season final has come.
