they can get into addiction is because they can't control themselves in their gambling involvement, so suggestions most likely won't have much effect if the person is already in the addiction phase because they have the wrong mindset.I think it's quite difficult to stop them if they are already in the addiction phase
mate you are also Right from your point of view. How can a person follow any suggestions and control themselves when they are already addicted due to they can't control them at all, right?? Actually it is you, who is responsible for everything in your life. A gambler may out of control but i believe, sometimes some good suggestions may change their lifestyle if he can follow cause that can help him to recover, get out of addiction. But totally depends on how you discipline yourself, which is called self-exclusion. When maturity come in you and when you realised that, gambling isn't a process which would develop your long term economic condition, then your mentality will automatically avoid gambling. Sometimes your mind may allow you a small amount for gambling, that's me. Honestly I'm the one who was get addicted but when i realized those matter i mentioned, i can easily get out of it. Why should anyone keep doing a thing that won't be profitable for him!
Yes, what you said is true, we ourselves are responsible for everything we do, because it is we ourselves who do it and of course as men we must be responsible for the actions we have taken. There are many ways to leave or recover from addiction, the problem is I think someone who is addicted to gambling almost forgets to be self-aware, perhaps it is even difficult to be self-aware of gambling which has harmed us because our thoughts are filled with things. One of the things in gambling is that winning is the main goal of gambling.
interesting question, I also don't know for sure why there are people who still do the same thing even though it doesn't benefit them but it harms them, maybe they already believe that what they are doing can produce something they can enjoy, although who knows when that will be clear. and indeed many people are addicted to gambling, they do it repeatedly, perhaps without thinking about the losses they incur and this is of course something where they cannot find a point of self-awareness as I said at the beginning. I think they will stop gambling when they have reached a point of self-consciousness, because even though they are advised, they themselves are not aware that what they are doing is wrong, it is possible that they will not accept the advice, because someone who is addicted to gambling tends to be a more aggressive person stubborn. because gambling addiction can change a person's attitudes and behavior.
