OT, I know, sorry for the all-medical post spree...

Thanks for the comments about NAC. Never heard of it prior to OOM mentioning it. Will have to get some. I'm not generally a fan of supplements, but one thing I can say from personal experience is about magnesium. A few months ago I started taking it daily, and I now sleep much better than before. I have vivid, movie-like dreams almost every night, it's pretty amazing. Like, I'm going to bed with an anticipation of the dream I'm going to have. The only supplements I take are magnesium (400 mg/day), zinc (22 mg/day), and vitamin C (1000 mg/day). The cocktail was suggested by a trusted doctor friend. I don't know if it's just the magnesium or the combined effect re. the dreams...

BTW, I was tested today and it turns out I have COVID-19... Already lost sense of smell and partial sense of taste (basically food tastes weird). Fever has completely subsided. Nose still runny (NAC could help here?). Positive line on test was deep red (high viral load). On top of all that, Bitcoin is ant-dipping again. What a great gift for Christmas & the New Year! Counting on the upcoming ETF thing...

Take good care guys. Prep your bodies and your spirits for the upcoming stratospheric pump.  Cheesy

Surprise, surprise...  Sad
NAC is said to support Sars-cov-2 spike protein breakdown, too.
Generally, higher initial viral load, more intense symptoms.

It got me too, but i'm Covid negative, so it's one of the common viruses that i caught. I also hit my knee pretty hard yesterday, so i'm hobbling around a bit. Last but not least, on Christmas Eve i cut myself with a tin-can lid, a pretty deep gaping cut. The flesh was colored like tuna sushi once bleeding stopped, i was kind of impressed. Between the left thumb and index finger, where the skin is moving all the time, i should have got two stitches, but i didn't want to catch a flu or covid at the hospital, which was overloaded with symptomatic patients already, as usual on this special date and the days after. Good docs are on holiday, and i didn't want another ugly scar.
Soooo, what to do? I decided to use McGyver's stitching (Superglue) and tape my thumb to the index finger for a couple of days, and as far as i can judge today, it worked (did this two times before already, but this one was the largest wound, yet).
Next day: Runny nose. Perfect timing Roll Eyes

Which type of Magnesium and Zinc do you take? With Mg, there are several, each with other benefits. I, personally take Mg-Glycinate (bound to L-Glycin) 2x375mg/d, which is fine to elevate body Magnesium levels, because you can take higher amounts without softening stool too much, like when using Mg-Citrate or -Carbonate. The Citrates give me the shits at about 300mg a dose and worsen my fructose malabsorption, so i also take Zinc-Glycinate (25mg/d), had great results with Picolinate too, but it's expensive.
Only thing to watch is your copper level, but if you take Zn before going to sleep, it should be fine, because the copper can be absorbed all day through other food. I'm sensitive to copper, which gives me zinc-definiency symptoms if i take Cu as a supplement, or eat too much food rich in copper.

You can't enjoy Bitcoin much if you are not feeling healthy, so the health topics are at least a bit related and not completely off-topic here.
But this is just uhm... my opinion, man  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Get well quickly, brother.

Thanks for the comments. Good info. As for the types of supplements, it's Magnesium Citrate, Zinc Picolinate, and Ester-C Vitamin C, all made by Solgar, if this means anything. I've heard about the glycinate type of magnesium, will check it out. About copper, I haven't got a clue about my levels. I take the zinc (and everything) mid-day, with a meal. So, you're saying I should be taking it before going to sleep. Will try that and see if it will affect my night-movies (a.k.a. dreams). About the dreams, they're so vivid and surreal, like Dali's paintings or those weird AI images, but moving and with intricate plots relating to my life/places/people/relationships. It's amazing what the brain can create. And it's not drug-induced (unless my magnesium has something else in it!).

Get well soon too man, COVID or not, being sick is no fun!
