It's great that you admitted it wasn't your original text. Having someone else's text and trying to tweak it could have damaged your reputation, especially since you're a well-known member on Bitcointalk.If @loycev had accused you of plagiarism after you credited him, it wouldn't have made much sense.
It's better now that you've created an original one for yourself as there's this saying, you never know what you can do until you've tried.You made the right call by sharing yours, and I'd also recommend those using it to somehow give references to your original text if they include it in their posts.
