The current situation is very confusing. On one hand, Real Madrid needs a number 9 but they are performing well without them. On other hand, despite these rumors, I don't think Real Madrid would sign Mbappe after he kind of betrayed Real Madrid a few years ago and signed a deal with PSG. Everyone was thinking that Real Madrid got him but he said otherwise. It makes everything confusing.
Real Madrid are doing well without a number 9 right now. Joselu is doing kind of good but he is not a world class player after all. The rumors are not strong either about Mbappe coming to Real Madrid. Endrick Felipe won't be coming this season as far as I know. Things are getting very interesting and I will be watching every moment of it.
At the moment the need for a pure striker or as a replacement for Benzema as number 9 at Madrid is not too urgent because the performance of some of the young players is still very good such as the performance of Jude and of course their new recruits Joselu and Brahim Dias are also still contributing very well so the need for a number 9 player for the future will not be too much of a problem that must be resolved immediately.
But when talking about Mbappe and Madrid current problems I think it will be a complex thing because after all, Mbappe previous attitude did make Madrid, especially Perez hurt by his attitude but that does not mean now they have no chance to be together because there could be some surprises that could happen for this.
