Both teams are weak teams so it wouldn't be too surprising if one of them won, Salernitana has more motivation because they want to stay away from relegation therefore playing against a team like Verona is an important moment because there they have the potential to get points the situation would be different if it was against a strong team and they would lose points. Unfortunately, in the next 2 matches, Salernitana will have to play against 2 other strong teams such as Juventus and Napoli of course Salernitana chances of getting points are very low.
Even though they won narrowly at home to Verona, now Salernitana still has to sit at the bottom of the standings because the points are still not enough to beat Verona, which is currently outside the relegation zone. And for the next match, the two teams are also very likely to lose because they have to face very strong teams in Serie A this season, namely Verona with Inter Milan and Salernitana with Juventus. So both of them are quite likely not to get points in their follow-up match this weekend.
But I am sure that this is not how the players and everyone else at Salernitana is looking at things right now. They know that this was a huge step into the best direction they could take. How vital these three points were to their survival in the Serie A can hardly be put into words.
